My dad was so awesome...he made life so fun, interesting, and exciting. He taught me so many life lessons that have improved the quality of my life. I want to honor him for his great example... for his stories...for the songs he sang...for his honesty...for his kindness to everyone....for never being to busy to take time for a daughter who wanted some attention. He encouraged me to do my best and my best was always good enough for him. He quizzed me on spelling words, he always said "you can do it!", he taught me to milk cows, he taught me to love the gospel, he taught me what happiness is all about. I think I got my love of ice cream from him although I do not eat it for breakfast! I know I got my blue eyes from him... and my freckles and pale colored skin! I hope that I got some of his patience and genuine concern for others and their well being. He never spoke ill of anyone and I am trying to follow in his footsteps. I remember him saying "It's easy to love people who are nice to you...the ones who are mean are the ones that need your love the most...they just don't realize it...be patient with them...and remember Heavenly Father loves them...so you can too"
